Commercial Manager (Based in Dubai)

MPG are recruiting a Commercial Manager to work on a high end hotel and residential project in Dubai.

The successful individual will have previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager ideally on a range of high end projects and hold a wealth of construction knowledge with 15+ years working in the UAE or GCC and D&B experience in delivering projects worth GBP£50m or above.

Position Overview

- Experienced Commercial Manager.


- Ability to review in detail contracts, orders and payments in a timely manner.


- Experience of detailed CVR reporting and taking an active and questioning role in project reviews


- Ability to set tasks and ensure compliance within team


- Main Contractor or Property developer Background -Stable work history with sustained periods at previous Employers in the GCC and/or UAE


- Ability to report effectively internally


- High level of experience of managing timely procurement process on multiple projects simultaneously


- Ability to galvanise and bring together teams whether commercial or operational and ensure the team ethos is promoted at all times.


- High level of ambition and drive yet fully grounded to carry out role in detail to build and the improve team.


- Good tenure with previous employers


- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, clients, contractors and all associated parties


- Possess strong communication skills and team leadership.

RICS (or equivalent) qualified

Position Remuneration

- Competitive Salary (D.O.E) £70,000 - £85,000

WETEX AND DUBAI SOLAR SHOW 2021

Last week MPG attended the WETEX and Dubai Solar Show organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The show featured Dubai’s vision to build a sustainable future for the Emirate.



The show gave MPG the opportunity to observe the integration between all sectors of the energy industry and bring together trade and technical sectors whilst facilitating the creation of new trade opportunities, enhancing an exchange of ideas and experiences and showcasing the latest innovations.

MPG MD completes the London Marathon 2021

MPG Managing Director, Michael Gallucci finished the Virtual London Marathon - Michael joined Kevin from Appleyard & Trew to run the London marathon on Sunday round the Olympic Rowing Lake at Dorney in Eton.

We were part of the world’s biggest-ever marathon  – running together with more than 22,000 others in 100 countries in the virtual event, along with thousands of others on the streets of London.

We had an amazing time and are looking forward to receiving the well-earned finisher’s medal and New Balance T-shirt.

MPG at the DIFC (Dubai International Finance Centre)

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is the leading international financial hub in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region. It has been has confirmed that the DIFC Arbitration Institute (DAI) will be combined with the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre (EMAC). The unified entity will be called the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), an autonomous, permanent, non-profit institution that provides regional and international business communities a high calibre of arbitration services.

Michael Gallucci attended meetings at the DIFC last week and met professionals based at the Centre to discuss claims, disputes and arbitration opportunities.

It’s great to be back in London again

It’s great to be back in London again.

The MPG team had a fantastic lunch with a modular building and site services business Module8.

We discussed some of Module8's work on the Crossrail and Thames Tideway and had a great meal at the German Gymnasium in St Pancras.



From some of the largest civil infrastructure projects including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and Heathrow Terminals 2, 3 and 5 to more bespoke and unusual requirements including working in conjunction with English Heritage on a temporary kitchen in the Christopher Wren designed Great Hall at The Chelsea Pensioners, it is unlikely there will be a requirement that the management team of Module8 have not met, delivered and executed previously.
